KAI PO CHE Scores Good On Day One
"Kai Po Che" started on positive note in themorning and was clearly ahead at box office in comparison to other newreleases. Film was strong in metros and urban multiplexes but elsewhere it wasaverage.
Film was not so good in UP, East Punjab, CI and all small centers. Film was good to great in high end multiplexes in Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore and Mysore. Film was average in Mumbai, CP and Gujarat.
As per early estimates, film should finish day one with 4.25 cr nett and this figure will depend on late night shows in multiplexes. Film has to show huge growth in next two days in order to score good weekend but limited release in 1000 screens will not offer huge scope.
Other major release "Zila Ghaziabad" was poor considering film's release size in 1300 screens. Film was good in NCR, UP and few other single screens. But film has very limited scope to grow from here on and as per early estimates film might finish day one 2.5-3 cr nett.
Other Hollywood release "Die Hard 5" was poor all over and will not pose any threat to new Bollywood releases.
